Our Founder

Expertise and experience cannot be bought – especially in an exact field such as actuarial recruitment.

Our founder, Loraine Storie fits the bill to perfection.

She gained a wealth of experience in recruitment over the past 19 years, working in both London and Johannesburg – nine of those years in actuarial recruitment

She first joined an international actuarial search consultancy in London, starting off in the pensions team before being promoted to Manager of Life & Health. Her next position in the firm was Manager of General Insurance.

Loraine returned to South Africa as an Associate Director of the firm, and established a South African operation for the company.

She left the firm in May 2007, and set up her own company, Loraine Storie and Associates in December 2007. From the 1st March 2010 the company has rebranded and is now known as SA Actuary.

Loraine believes in matching people to companies and vice versa, and interviews all candidates where possible. Whether you are a graduate looking for your first career opportunity or you are the MD of the Company she would be able to advise and assist you.

The firm is well established in the Gauteng region, and also has a newly established branch in the Cape Town region.
